ABOUT THE ARTWORK Winnipeg Flood of 1950. I tried to capture an atmospheric effect of an illusion with a feeling of movement and rhythm. Painted in a very impressionistic style. It has a limited palate with pockets of vivid colour idealizing the form. Floods can be extraordinarily devastating. This work captures a historic moment in time. |
